Working for yourself within the arts and culture sector
Artists are creatives and workers, and many work for themselves – which makes them small business people too!
Commissioner McAlary-Smith presented a webinar with Creative Workplaces on how creatives can work for themselves within the arts and culture sector.
You can watch a recording of the Commissioner’s presentation, embedded below. Topics covered include how to structure a creative business, the importance of record keeping, guidance on running a business, how to cost and charge for your time, getting paid on time and how to avoid or navigate disputes.
